In October, Louisiana Cat sponsored the Autism Services of Southwest Louisiana's Clay Shoot. Autism Services of SWLA builds and provides homes to adults with autism. Proceeds from this event support the building of future homes as there is currently a waiting list to become a resident. We are proud to support this event and to help adults with autism achieve independent living!
Associated terminals visits product health center
Our Product Health Center team put on a training seminar for Executive, Field, and Project Management teams of Associated Terminals. They provided valuable, hands on training in the setup, navigation, use and full value of VisionLink, Condition Monitoring; as well as what those elements can do for their operations. Thank you to the Product Health Center team for coming together to provide this face to face training and a great customer experience.
Students Exploring Career Opportunities (SECO) Expo
The Students Exploring Career Opportunities (SECO) Expo was held on November 20 and 21 at the Riverfront Center in Alexandria. Gilchrist Construction Company set up a booth with a presentation of state-of-the-art technology including two equipment operation simulators, provided by Louisiana Cat. Over 3,000 10th grade students from the central Louisiana region attended the event. A big THANK YOU to Mike Deloach, Technical Communicator in Alexandria; Bronson Dauzat, Service Coordinator in Alexandria and Chanie Smith, HR Business Partner in Reserve, for coordinating Louisiana Cat’s participation in this event!
sitech honored in lsu 100
Sitech Louisiana LLC has been chosen as an LSU 100 2019 Honoree. The LSU 100 recognizes the 100 fastest-growing LSU graduate-owned or LSU graduate-led businesses from nominations submitted by individuals, colleagues, clients, former classmates or the businesses themselves. Businesses submit financial details confidentially to LSU to be considered for the Top 100 list, which began in 2011.
Loyalty Scores ALL UP in October
In the month of October, our Loyalty Scores improved from the previous month in every department. (This is rare!) A Net Loyalty Score is a customer satisfaction metric that measures how customers would recommend your company to others. Currently, we are 5th in the nation in overall Customer Loyalty and only .5 away from our goal of 80%. Keep up the GREAT+ work!
lucas vincent named new iberia service manager
Lucas has been with the company for a total of 12 years, mainly as an engine field technician. Lucas came to Louisiana Cat right out of trade school and has grown into an excellent technician with tremendous knowledge and experience. In May 2018 he graduated with a business degree to broaden his skill set. With Lucas’s customer service skills and technical background, he will look to expound on what is already in place in New Iberia. Lucas and his wife Jenna along with their two kids Evelyn (10) and Henry (7) will remain located in the Lafayette area as he takes on his new position.
Ryan boyce featured in LA Next Magazine
Ryan Boyce, Prairieville Technician, was featured in Louisiana Next Magazine, a publication intended to keep graduates in our state by showing them the advantages of and viable choices for ongoing education and employment in Louisiana. Each edition of Louisiana NEXT reaches 100,000 Louisiana high school juniors and seniors, as well as educators and parents. It is the only annual resource for statewide collegiate and career planning. The magazine is provided free to students and free to schools. Click here to read the full article.
Technical services completes operator training
Mike Deloach and Greg Andes traveled to Tinaja Learning and Demonstration Center in October to participate in the Equipment Training Solutions, Certified Dealer Instructor Level II Training.

This bench-strength initiative will provide support to our current Certified Dealer Instructors, Randy Tyrone and Larry Small, in our efforts to provide world-class operator training to our customers and partner in all corners of our market. The Caterpillar Product Line is creating training opportunities that are becoming increasingly more evolved (and at a more rapid pace than anyone could have imagined!). We also anticipate the demand to continue a trend that will eventually require formal, documented training for even moderately regulated sites in the near future and are ensuring we are ready to provide it!
Mike and Greg will be traveling back to Tinaja Hills to complete the Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Process, or CIAP, in January 2020, so stay tuned for more exciting information.
