As part of Caterpillar's quest to find the best equipment operator in the world, we were proud to host two qualifying events! The Reserve branch hosted our South Louisiana event and Bossier City hosted our North Louisiana event. Both events featured 3 challenges designed to put operator's agility, resilience, versatility and technology skills to the test. The courses featured a 306 Mini Excavator, D2 Dozer, and 326 Excavator. Contestants were timed on each course and the winners determined by the best time across all 3 courses. We crowned a Champion at each event that took home $500 and bragging rights! Between both events, we deemed an overall winner, Ronald Booty, that will move on to represent Louisiana Cat at the Eastern Regional competition in October.
Congratulations to all of our winners, listed and pictured below!

We are excited to unveil our new rental logo! The updated Cat Rental Store dealer lock up for Louisiana Cat aligns our brand identity with the broader national Cat Rental Store network. This simplified and higher visibility branding also makes our rental fleet easier to identify with both our current and prospective customers as our market share continues to grow across the state. You will start to see the new logo phasing in throughout the next couple months, and by year's end we will have converted anything with the old logo to the new.
Living in the Gulf South we all are aware of the dangers that surround a Hurricane. As we prepare for the possibility of a hurricane making landfall within our trading area; we wanted to cover a few areas ahead of time in an attempt to prevent a lot of confusion which will more than likely take place if a hurricane approaches. Please assess your current IT supplies and open a ticket if you require any additional hardware for hurricane preparedness.

The SkillUp26 program offers entry-level technicians an accelerated opportunity for professional growth and development of technical skills and knowledge through mentorship, instructor-led & computer-based learning, and on-the-job training.
The participants spend 26 weeks learning the fundamentals of being a technician at Louisiana Cat while being mentored and evaluated by their more senior teammates and supervisors. Throughout the program, they also come together at our various locations for Instructor-Led Training Courses where they can learn a new skill, network with their fellow trainees, and visit other shops and divisions.
Pictured here are the graduates of the first SkillUp26 class, with Merritt Parsons, Director of Training & Development and Allie Riggs, Training Coordinator. Congratulations to you all! We cannot wait to celebrate your future career successes at Louisiana Cat!

On June 23rd, the service team in New Iberia successfully test ran the first 3600 series engine in the new Dyno Facility. This milestone represents the hard work of our Technicians, Engineering Team, Technical Support Team, Fabrication and multiple vendors that all came together to accomplish our goal. Testing a G3606 has been a long journey but the communitive effort from everyone involved has paid off. We are all excited to move forward as we work to continuously improve our facility and procedures. The next milestone we are looking forward to will be to take delivery of an aircraft style tugger to better install and remove large engines from the test cell. The dyno remains busy as we celebrate the victory but we are all excited for what the future holds for both the New Iberia Service Department and our Dyno Facility.

The Reserve Service Department recently completed a D8T Rebuild for Associated Terminals. Associated utilizes this machine for shore side cargo handling at Mosaic Fertilizer plant. They decided to rebuild this machine to help increase the longevity of their fleet of D8Ts. With the rebuild option, over new purchase it allowed us to set the machine up with a custom corrosive prevention package which include fully customized paint, wash down system, electrical protection, and hydraulic protection.

"I work with both Bossier and Monroe parts departments. Jose (Salas) and Bryan (Tucker) went above and beyond doing a lot of legwork for me recently. Bryan sat down and worked hard at calling people to fix my recent repair. Bryan located the part and made everything seamless. I can't brag about him enough.
I am impressed by the staff's devotion and customer service at both the Bossier and Monroe locations. I always recommend Bruce (Cassel) at the Bossier store and Bryan at the Monroe store when someone mentions that they need Cat parts.
I want to show my appreciation for Bryan's expertise. He did not lie to me, he told me that he would call back in 5 minutes, and he called back in 4. Bryan's help was exceptional. Bryan is the type of representation that makes it easy to decide to do business with Louisiana Cat.
Bryan, Jose and Bruce all represent Louisiana Cat well."
