Electrical wiring was pulled and stubbed in place. Next step is to identify the final equipment location and tie in the electrical. Due to Louisiana fire codes, we had to fire proof the Shipping and Receiving wall adjacent to the Dyno. Our team removed the inventory and dismantled the shelving. The contractor then began installing three layers of fire resistant material. Although we had to move two fans, we were able to place the fans in other areas of the warehouse. The dirt work is ready to begin…if the weather will cooperate!

Louisiana Cat has been encouraging customer facing employees to use the GREAT+ method of helping customers with their needs using a 5 step process: GREET warmly, REQUEST info, EXPLAIN solutions, ASK for additional ways to help, THANK sincerely for the business and PLUS make it memorable.
Caterpillar has asked for Louisiana Cat’s participation with development of training specifically for greeting and welcoming customers, very similar to Louisiana Cat’s GREAT+. To get feedback on the process, our Customer Experience Manager, Steven Crescioni, has used Cat’s new iPad “exit poll survey” tool to see if walk-in customers at Hammond and Reserve had a GREAT+ experience.
The results are YES! Every customer was very pleased with how we handled their needs, and customers were very willing to take the quick 5 question survey either in the lobby or outside. The customers even made note of the situational awareness/safety Louisiana Cat has taken in-store to continue to serve customers.
These customers didn’t buy a machine on this visit but certainly their positive experience will help if they are in the position influence a purchase in the future.
