  Andrew usually deals with Q Smith, who is very helpful and very upfront. Andrew added that he had an issue today with some spark plugs and UPS had busted the box and Q jumped right on that for Andrew. Andrew stated the whole aspect of working with the parts department has been very pleasant for him and everything has been running as needed.

Randy said that everything went well, he called them and they delivered it quickly. He said that it went perfectly, they brought the equipment out the same day he called. He said that the people he deals with are great, he has no problems with them, and will be renting from them again soon, when he finds out when he needs to rent. The customer said that he has dealt with them for 3 years and has only had good service and he said that 3 years without a problem is hard to beat. The customer said that he calls them and the guys are knowledgeable and if they don't have something right in front of them, they call him back to let him know things. Randy also mentioned that they are nice and friendly and he has no problems at all with them.

      MACHINE SALES spring training IN TINAJA HILLS

       Our Machine Sales team visited the Caterpillar Tinaja Hills training facility in Tuscon, Arizona for Spring Training!

      The training focused on both new and current product information of all Caterpillar machinery. Our salesmen are further prepared to infiltrate the market with this preparation!

        Mansfield compressor station mak

           Project Overview:

           

          Engine - G16CM34 

          There are 6 of these engines on site.  They are used for gas transmission, and each engine is rated for 8198 Horsepower at 750RPM’s.


          The complaint was that the engine shut down due to the engine oil pressure differential 

          Technicians were dispatched on 9/19/23 to the Mansfield Compressor Station to troubleshoot the engine issue on Unit 106.  Upon inspection of the engine, it was discovered that 

          #4 and #5 main bearings had spun.  Determination was made to replace the crankshaft and have the block line bored by Inplace Machinery and the crankshaft replaced.  Technicians completely dissembled the engines to the bare block.  Barnhart Crane and Rigging came in, lifted the block up and removed the crankshaft. Inplace Machinery then came in and bored the block onsite.   Once the machining was complete, our technicians began assembling the engine back together.  

          Overall the project ran through September 19, 2023 - January 11, 2024.

          Louisiana Cat won the Student Choice Award Honorable Mention at the recent Student Exploring Career Opportunities Expo. Louisiana Cat was voted top 10 out of 65 industries present! The students were able to operate the machine simulator as well as ask questions about the industry and careers in the industry. 


          Our training department enjoyed getting to answer questions about the industry.

          • Louisiana Cat is the leading dealer for Cat® Command! Cat Command is a remote control kit for machinery. The two options are either by Line of Site (LOS) by use of a “belly box” remote, or Non Line of Site (NLOS) by remote stations anywhere in the world!


          • The Cat® G16CM34 is the largest gas engine! This unit stands over 12’ tall and runs 750RPM with 16 cylinders! Our technicians have to climb inside of this beast for service!  

              

          • Two new skid steer/compact track loader (SSL/CTL) models are dropping this year! The      255 and 265 will replace the 259 and 279s! The new models are a production/stability beast, and manufactured entirely by Cat® – including Cat engines!
